I started my photographic career at 17 years old with people who breathed photography. I had excellent professionals instructing and guiding me throughout my learning. My first camera was a Holleifex and it was working with her that I bought my first car, with her I was able to marry my current wife Elaine, who was always by my side at all times of my life, but to take these first steps , I had to learn a lot, because as everything was done manually and with film, to make an impactful photo, I had to learn all the lighting techniques, positioning, use of handheld equipment, bringing with it a lot of skill and confidence in what I had to do.
My first jobs were performing weddings, dealing with many people at the same time, conducting events, coordinating teams and all of this life, with no right to make mistakes or repeat the same photos to see which one would be better. Everything had to be done precisely.
It was a big challenge because in the first marriage I made, I don’t even have to say how much I was sweating and how tense I was inside, but I had great photographers by my side and when I started I was more than prepared to do all the work.
The funny thing is, it’s been 30 years and I’m still sweating and tense inside!!! Each event is different and I always want to give my clients the best of myself. I have never photographed an easy wedding or event, there is no such thing in my life. All are challenges, and when they are ” simple ”, these become the hardest to do, as I have to make a difference and always surprise my client with a photographic vision that will show everything to him in a different way.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to see and actively participate in all the technological innovations we have today, and this made me more accomplished, as I can now take photos that at that time would be impossible with the equipment we had.
I have a passion for what I do and 30 years photographing, never lost the desire to do life!!! I always want to be ahead of events, challenges, and see the first images on my camera!!
I have participated throughout my life in various courses, congresses, workshop, round table …. everything that revolves around photography and where I could learn something new.
I am a discreet person, knowledgeable of my work, and I realize when I see my client confident and quiet while working. For me, this is one of the most important parts of the success of my work: Trust!!!
Thank you in advance for your reading time to get to know me a little, and hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person.
